We depart Cusco early and drive through the scenic landscapes of the Sacred Valley, passing traditional villages and agricultural fields. After approximately 2.5 hours, we arrive in Mollepata, where we enjoy a light breakfast to prepare for the hike.

From Mollepata, we continue to Soraypampa, the starting point of our trek. The hike to Humantay Lagoon is moderately challenging, taking about 1.5 to 2 hours. As we ascend, you’ll be surrounded by stunning views of snow-capped mountains, including the majestic Salkantay Peak, and verdant valleys dotted with grazing alpacas.

Upon reaching the lagoon, you’ll be captivated by its vivid turquoise waters, which contrast beautifully with the rugged Andean landscape. The lagoon is considered a sacred site by the local communities, and its tranquil atmosphere invites reflection and connection with nature. You’ll have time to rest, take photos, and enjoy the serene surroundings before beginning the descent.

Back in Soraypampa, we enjoy a buffet lunch featuring traditional Andean dishes. After lunch, we board our transport and return to Cusco, arriving in the late afternoon, rejuvenated by the beauty and tranquility of Humantay Lagoon.
